Summary: A genuine taste of Portuguese country life from a bygone age. Picture the country house of an old landed Portuguese family, added onto and updated across the centuries, complete with a 400 year old chapel. Once a working estate, now a family vacation home, surrounded by the fields and orchards of the quinta, the words to describe it are authentic and charming. The location is perfect for exploring central Portugal, half way between Porto and Lisboa and 30 minutes from several UNESCO listed sites. Our hosts were very welcoming. The caretaker family, who live nearby, resolved any (of the few and minor) issues promptly. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
