Located in a protected Natura 2000 area, this cottage is perfect for peace and relaxation on a 2-hectare property of woods and canals. Le Bas Marais lies in the Marais Poitevin, south Vendée. Enjoy the pool in the morning and the ocean’s salt air in the afternoon. Just 20 minutes from Luçon, 40 minutes from Vendée’s sandy beaches, 45 minutes from La Rochelle, Île de Ré, and La Roche-sur-Yon, 25 minutes from Mervent Lake, its zoo, and Vouvant, and 1 hour from Puy du Fou. This intimate, welcoming cottage sleeps 2. The living area features a TV and a fully equipped kitchen (washing machine, oven, microwave). There’s one bedroom with a double bed (140 x 190) and a spacious bathroom. Semi-detached with the Tournesol cottage, each has a private garden separated by shrubs, a terrace, barbecue, garden furniture, and loungers facing the canal. The heated, secure pool is open mid-May to late September (weather permitting), 9:30 am–9 pm. Outdoor games include football, badminton, ping-pong, volleyball, darts, swing, slide, and Molkky. Bicycles are available, and you can enjoy a boat ride on the Hollandais canal. Fishing enthusiasts are welcome; please bring your gear. Free Wi-Fi. No pets allowed. Bed and bath linen are not included but can be reserved in advance and beds will be made for your arrival. Baby equipment is available free on request (made-up cot, high chair, bathtub). Cleaning service and underfloor heating are available for an extra fee. Some consumables are provided free of charge.
