The Quinta Lusitana is located on a slight hill in the Olhão district, in a quiet location between the municipalities of Quelfes, Moncarapacho and Fuseta. The rural area is characterised by almond trees, olive trees and carob trees, and narrow paths allow you to take leisurely walks in the middle of nature.
The house was built in 2016 on the site of the old farmhouse. The property with threshing floor, covered parking and stylishly laid out flowerbeds is surrounded by a fence. The large roof terrace offers a 360° panoramic view of the small private kingdom, but also of the distant landscape: in the north to the highest elevation in the eastern Algarve, the Cerro de São Miguel, in the south to the Ria Formosa nature reserve and the Atlantic Ocean behind it. In the east you greet the sunrise with a cup of coffee and in the west you watch the sunset with a glass of Vinho Verde.
When planning the Quinta Lusitana, the owners took care to use natural materials and to build an architecture in the typical local style that blends harmoniously into the existing environment. An impressive biotope was created directly in front of the large terrace, where frogs feel at home alongside various aquatic plants and occasionally give a little concert. This water paradise has a square pool in the middle, so that you can swim in the biotope without coming into contact with the plant and animal inhabitants that ensure the natural balance of the pool. The view goes through the aquatic plants to the coastline.
As the swimming pool has a continuous depth of 2 meters and is located very close to the house, children under 8 years of age cannot be accommodated. Older children should already be confident swimmers. We ask for your understanding for this safety regulation.
Style and sophistication continue in the house. The large living area is illuminated through four double glass doors from the south and north. The wooden roof and the clay plaster keep the temperature and humidity in balance. This creates a very pleasant room climate.
Next to the living room is an open, very well-equipped kitchen with a dining area. Here, too, a lot of light comes in through the windows in all directions.
In the eastern part of the house are the two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is en suite. Both bedrooms have patio doors and air conditioning (consumption is charged extra).
Quinta Lusitana offers a relaxing holiday for up to 4 people, in natural surroundings and within short distances to many attractive destinations in the Eastern Algarve. Its eco-pool, its elevated location and its high-quality furnishings set it apart from many other, at first glance comparable, accommodations.
